It is your responsibility to ensure that you have all necessary visas for your travels. Please check carefully to ensure you have the relevant documentation. A good starting point is to enter your details and the countries you are travelling to during your trip on the Sherpa travel planning website.

For additional help, we recommend using iVisa, a helpful tool that can provide general guidance on visa requirements and make the process a bit easier to navigate.
Europe is divided into two visa categories: Schengen States and Non-Schengen States.
Certain nationalities will need a visa to enter Schengen countries. If this applies to you, you’ll need to apply for a Schengen visa that covers all the countries you’ll be visiting. In some cases, if your tour visits multiple Schengen countries, you’ll need a multi-entry visa.
If your tour includes a non-Schengen country, we recommend checking with your local embassy to see if you’ll need a separate visa for those destinations.

On all tours, you will have to carry your own luggage (e.g. into hotels and up to your room if hotels don’t have lifts). It is up to you to remember to collect all of your bags when leaving a hotel or the coach. Don’t pack more than you can comfortably carry – if you struggle to lift your bag once it is packed (and before you have bought any souvenirs), you have certainly packed too much! You will not be permitted to store luggage in the coach overnight.
You are permitted to take one piece of main luggage with you on the coach to a maximum weight of 20kg. Maximum dimensions are 75cm x 43cm x 90cm. If you arrive with more luggage than this, or luggage that is too big and/or heavy, you may be asked to leave it behind.
In addition to your main bag, you will need a small daypack or backpack for everyday things you may need (e.g. camera, water bottle, sun cream, hat etc.) while travelling, sightseeing or on overnight excursions. Maximum dimensions are 42cm x 30cm x 18cm. Try to keep this bag as light as possible and make sure that all main sections of your bags can be padlocked. Do not leave ANYTHING of value in your main luggage – keep it on you or in a safe, where available.

Travel insurance is a must-have for all our tours. Think of it as your travel safety net, there to catch you if something unexpected happens. When filling out your Important Passenger Information, you’ll need to provide your insurance provider’s details and your policy number. Without travel insurance, we are unable to allow you to join the tour.
